Council on Education for the Deaf Member Organizations Links to an external site.

CED consists of eight major national organizations dedicated to quality education for all deaf and hard of hearing students. Each organization supports CED by paying annual dues to support CED activities and programs and by supporting the active participation of the two Board members who represent each member organization. 

The current eight member organizations are:

The purpose of SERID Inc. shall be to hold an annual conference. State Coordinators for the Deaf in the Southeastern United States are responsible for the coordination of the conferences. The target audience includes health professionals, employers, consumers, educators, and other persons interested in issues affecting individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, and/or late-deafened; and to further knowledge concerning these issues through publications, studies, and educational programs.

NCAD is a non-profit organization founded in 1908 when Deaf citizens in North Carolina were concerned about the education of deaf children and the residential school. Since that time, NCAD has evolved into a broad organization overseeing important educational, civil, health and social issues of deaf, hard of hearing and deaf blind citizens in NC.

 

National Cued Speech Association Links to an external site.

The National Cued Speech Association supports effective communication, language development (international languages) and literacy in families with deaf, hard of hearing or learning disabled infants, children and youth through the use of Cued Speech.
