14.1 - Supporting Question 1
Introduction to Supporting Question 1
While the war in Vietnam was not the only armed conflict that came out of this part of the Cold War, it can be argued that it was the conflict that had the most impact on the lives of people in the United States. Ultimately a conflict about a communist take over of Vietnam the war became a symbol to US efforts to stop the spread of communism anywhere in the world. This module takes students through an examination of the start of the war and the US involvement in it, through the experiences of the soldiers who fought in the conflict, and the conclusion of the war.
