Below are some ideas for connecting the information in the module to your life as an active citizen in North Carolina:

  • Participate in a local protest. Write a reflection on the effectiveness of the protest.

  • Participate/organize a fundraiser to support a protest organization that you think uses protest well and is addressing an issue you care about.

  • Write a letter to the chief of police in a local area that often hosts protests. Ask questions about their policies towards protesters and describe how you feel that they should handle protesters or what issues are important for them to consider.
