The Founding Principles Cluster Documents

The Founding Principles Cluster Documents have been designed to focus on the effective implementation of the “Founding Principles Subjects” into the Founding Principles of the United States and North Carolina: Civic Literacy course.

The intent of this resource is to:

1. Provide guidance on the intentional integration of the founding principles outlined in the NC General Statute
2. Propose a coherent framework for local districts and schools to organize and develop a curriculum for the course
3. Identify instructional resources that align with the course and the legislation.
