The NC English Language Development (ELD) Standards for Social Studies were approved by the NCSBE in 2021.
This page provides resources to support the content teacher’s capacity to effectively integrate content and language for the successful achievement of the multilingual learner (ML) as well as ALL learners in the Social Studies classroom. The resources shared on this page are provided as a means to offer social studies educators opportunities to determine their instructional needs when planning lessons that ensure the needs of the ML student are being met.
