The 2010 North Carolina Standard Course of Study (SCoS) for World Languages Links to an external site. has Assessment Examples or AEs that were developed to support standards implementation. The AEs are not intended to be used as standardized statewide tests, but to serve as examples of some ways that standards (or parts of the standards) might be assessed in the classroom, by individual teachers. Please see the AE booklet for the Novice level of proficiency Links to an external site., as an example.

External assessment resources, like those sometimes used with the CDM process Links to an external site. and its World Language guidance Links to an external site., as well as the Global Languages Endorsement (GLE) or NC's Seal of Biliteracy Links to an external site., can be found in the Administrator & Program Resources section under Crosswalks.
