Communication Definition: Communication is all about making your thoughts crystal clear. Students who communicate effectively listen with intention, have constructive conversations, and communicate effectively in an “online world.”

Communication Criteria:

• Engaging in Conversations - Engaging in conversations involves actively participating, asking thoughtful questions, and building on what others say. Thoughtful questions have a clear intention and are related to the goal of the conversation. They help guide the conversation toward meaningful insights or problem-solving. Students who communicate effectively make relevant connections, summarize key points, and keep the conversation focused and impactful.
• Giving and Receiving Feedback - Giving and receiving feedback involves a constructive exchange of insights and suggestions that elevate the quality of work. This skill is about appreciating input from others, applying constructive criticism to improve, and making meaningful changes. Strong communicators actively seek feedback, demonstrate they understand the comments, explain how they plan to apply the feedback, and then implement the necessary adjustments. 
• Presentation of Knowledge and Ideas - Presenting Knowledge and Ideas involves clearly sharing what you know, using the right facts, details, and visuals. It’s about speaking at a pace that everyone can follow and confidently answering questions to show your understanding.
